Senior Vice President, Multi-Brand Merchandising

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Multi-Brand Merchandising is an executive leadership role, serving as a critical member of the senior leadership team and reporting to the Brand Platform President. The leader will drive the strategic vision, execution, and performance of merchandising across multiple brands within the portfolio. This executive will lead a high-performing team to deliver consumer-centric assortments, optimize product lifecycle management, and ensure alignment with brand identities and business goals. The role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in merchandising, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for innovation and growth.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a unified, long-term strategy across brands that supports revenue growth, margin improvement, brand differentiation, and innovation.
  • Brand Portfolio Management: Oversee the merchandising vision for each brand, ensuring differentiation while leveraging synergies.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a team of brand merchandising leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Assortment Planning & Optimization: Oversee seasonal and long-term assortment strategies, ensuring alignment with consumer insights, market trends, and financial targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Design, Product Development, Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution.
  • Consumer-Centric Merchandising: Leverage consumer insights, market data, and trend forecasting to inform product assortments, identify white space opportunities, and respond to evolving consumer preferences.
  • Financial Accountability: Own merchandising KPIs including revenue, margin, inventory productivity, and sell-through across all brands.
  • Innovation & Brand Stewardship: Champion innovation in product and merchandising approaches while maintaining the integrity and uniqueness of each brand.
  • Consumer-Centric: Deep understanding of the outdoor consumer and retail landscape, including DTC, wholesale, and e-commerce.
  • Results-Driven: Relentlessly focused on achieving and surpassing KPI’s. Take full responsibility for outcomes—both successes and failures. Sets high standards for self and others and follows through on commitments.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related discipline
  • 10+ years Merchandising leadership experience
  • 5+ years of Director/VP-level experience at high growth brand
  • Product strategy expertise
  • Consumer obsessed mindset
  • Market intelligence & competitive analysis acumen
  • Strong communicator and expert collaborator
  • Executive presence & influencing capabilities

This is a full-time leadership position located in Bozeman, Montana.
