Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Senior Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for reporting and analysis of forecasting support to effectively manage the demand and supply chain process. This position will ensure levels of stock necessary to drive net sales and profitability. You will ensure cross-functional alignment across procurement, operations, quality, and sustainability teams to drive cost-effective, ethical, and resilient supply chain practices. This role will evaluate and improve current supply chain processes, systems, and vendor relationships, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, reduce waste, and support regenerative agriculture practices. The Supply Chain Manager will also play a key role in identifying strategic supply partners, managing risk, and ensuring consistent product availability to meet customer demand while upholding the company’s environmental and social values.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversee Supply Chain Team to achieve high standards of performance, high morale and team cohesiveness.
- Optimize inventory levels and tracking across multiple distribution centers to meet customer, operational, product, and financial/accounting goals.
- Responsible for a team that plans safety stock goals for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Use Netsuite and Netstock to create and support ongoing reporting, ad hoc analysis and projects based on current business needs to inform decision making.
- Utilize Netstock to review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Support supply planner and all domestic production of finished goods and all inventory management.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to understand historical sales, market trends, seasonality, product mix, sales events, marketing promotions, and other factors which influence the forecast.
- Provides ad hoc analysis to support decision-making by Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Executive leadership.
- Support creation and adherence to Operations budget and longer-term strategic plan.
- Support Head of Operations in vendor management, relationship building, and driving S&OP process across network.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations within the food or other related field.
- Experience with food, manufacturing, & CPG is a plus.
- Detail oriented with strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently maintain data in systems.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Google Suite or similar computer software systems.
- Netsuite and/or Netstock experience strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION + LOCATION
- Compensation for this role is targeted between $138k-$172k (base + bonus)
- This organization is HQ’ed in Richmond, CA and is a hybrid work environment. This individual needs to be close enough for a 3 day per week commute to Richmond.
