Reporting to the CCO, the Head of Ecommerce is the P&L business owner of the ecommerce revenue channel. The Head of Ecommerce will lead direct to consumer efforts, partnering with peers, team members, and 3rd party partners to scale revenue. The Head of Ecommerce is expected to bring a mix of strategic leadership and tactical execution, acting as a player-coach. The Head of Ecommerce will provide digitally forward thought leadership, strategy, curiosity, and execution disciplines to the business.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- P&L accountable for ecommerce channel
- Drive revenue growth, acquisition, and retention
- Meet and exceed agreed upon financial objectives
- Provide vision and leadership while partnering with a cross-functional team to build and execute a strategic roadmap for ecommerce performance
- Lead business strategies including content, merchandising, search engine optimization, mobile optimization, and UX/UI
- Optimize path-to-purchase ensuring shoppers can easily navigate, learn our products, and brand, and complete a purchase transaction with ease
- Actively engage in ongoing testing and optimization to improve the online user experience including operations, customer care, and logistics challenges
- Understand order and unit economics. Improve customer journey while driving site profitability
- Oversee site merchandising and content management
- Organize and lead a data and analytics center of excellence
- Improve organization’s capacity to enable development of insights with advanced analytics
- Partner with 3rd parties to understand consumer trends and best practice marketing techniques
- Own analytics. Read and react to the business and ecommerce performance
- Identify, validate, execute, growth opportunities and efficiencies (short and long-term)
- Report on KPI’s- pivot as necessary to drive revenue performance
- Optimize structure and lead e-commerce team (in-house and agency/contractors)
- Lead and develop ecommerce team to evangelize and champion brand
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors’ degree preferred, not required
- 10+ years’ experience in ecommerce, digital performance marketing, growth marketing, retention marketing, and ecommerce operations
- Proven track record in building a successful, fast-growing ecommerce business
- Leadership experience with revenue growth from $50 MM- $200 MM
- Advanced data and analytics skills
- Experience using AI in advancing e-commerce process and performance
