Reporting to the Sourcing Director of Technology & Optics, we are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Global Sourcing Manager to join our Global Supply Chain & Operations team supporting the Golf Technology platform. This role will lead end-to-end sourcing operations with a focus on electronics manufacturing services (EMS), raw materials, and supplier innovation. The ideal candidate will have experience within EMS and/or contract manufacturing environments with demonstrated strong capabilities in cost modeling, supplier development, electronics supplier negotiations & cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
As the Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for handling the company’s end to end sourcing operations. You will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities. The person in this role will be a key driver of the sourcing excellence, truly driving total effort related to building competitive advantage through product cost savings.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies to improve service, quality, and total cost of ownership across a global spend portfolio.
- Manage sourcing of complex electronic components including PCBs, semiconductors, sensors, and embedded systems.
- Lead sourcing strategies for raw materials (e.g., plastics, sheetmetal, badges, adhesives) used in electronics assemblies. and/or electronic assemblies such as PCBA’s
- Drive supplier collaboration to support innovation, NPI readiness, and competitive advantage.
- Execute cost excellence initiatives and exceed year-over-year savings targets.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and ramp-up for new product development.
- Conduct BOM cost analysis and drive cost-down initiatives across electronics categories.
- Manage Tier 1 EMS partners across Asia and North America, including QBRs and performance scorecards.
- Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts, exclusivity, and NDA agreements.
- Conduct make vs. buy analysis and support regionalization and dual sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate and coordinate supplier decisions with Operations, Engineering, Product Management, QA/QC, and Finance to align sourcing with business goals.
- Maintain accurate sourcing vendor records and master data in ERP/PLM systems.
- Benchmark industry trends and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field required.
- 5–10 years of experience in global strategic sourcing or procurement, with emphasis on electronics and raw materials.
- Proven experience managing EMS/ODM partners and sourcing in high-mix, low-volume environments.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and materials.
- Proficiency in cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and BOM management.
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Agile).
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and change management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
You might have:
- Prior experience at EMS providers, High Tech/Telecom/Wireless companies, and/or similar industries.
- Familiarity with supplier intelligence tools and sourcing analytics platforms.
- Experience in consumer electronics, golf technology, or outdoor performance products.
SALARY RANGE
The base salary range for this role is $135,000.
GEOGRAPHY
This role is based in San Diego, CA.
