Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing will collaborate closely to translate the strategic marketing vision into actionable plans and drive their execution. This role requires a creative, execution-driven individual to elevate our brand to the next level. You will provide input and feedback to shape our marketing strategy, develop go-to-market plans, execute campaigns, generate demand, and build brand awareness across footwear and related verticals.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Marketing Planning
- Work to understand the vision and goals with CEO with respect to marketing.
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans aligned with the vision and strategic business objectives. Including, establishing clear timelines, workflows, costing, and deliverables for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with strong follow-through. The ability to see the big picture and drive the details.
Brand & Content Development
- Create or facilitate the creation of sales enablement tools, brand decks, campaign toolkits, and customer education assets.
- Lead external creative, PR, or event partners as needed to execute marketing plans.
- Partner with product development and sales teams to develop and execute compelling GTM narratives.
- Translate technical product positioning into compelling brand storytelling
Execution & Activation
- Coordinate marketing activities, ensuring alignment and integration across channels.
- Manage trade show presence and activations.
- Establish brand presence at key industry events and trade shows (e.g., TRE).
- Build and manage brand campaigns
- Identify and pursue marketing initiatives to elevate brand recognition
- Track performance metrics for awareness, lead generation, and conversion rates.
- Strong communicator that is comfortable collaborating directly with the CEO and leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7–10+ years of experience in marketing
- Experience marketing to both B2B and consumer audiences.
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated campaigns with limited resources.
- Skilled at translating technical or complex product features into consumer-friendly messaging.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and creative briefing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
- Footwear experience is a plus but not required.
COMPENSATION
The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience.
LOCATION
Based in Washington with a hybrid in-office work schedule.
