Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead the company’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions. This role will be a key business partner to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and profitable growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable manner. The Director of FP&A will support a multi-brand platform.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the annual budgeting process, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide transparency into performance and key business drivers.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Analyze the impact of business strategies and initiatives, customer profitability and segmentation and channel and brand profitability as they relate to business strategy and company goals.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Conduct scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and ROI evaluations to support strategic initiatives and capital investments.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering professional development and accountability.
- Serve as a thought partner to CFO and executive team on financial strategy and operational performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive planning and financial analysis experience in a consumer products brand
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
LOCATION
This position is based in Bozeman, Montana and a flex work position: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-office and Monday, Friday remote.
