We are seeking a seasoned Business Leader to provide end-to-end leadership at the organization. The Business Leader is a highly strategic and operational executive responsible for the end‑to‑end performance of the brand and business. This is a General Management role, with leadership accountability across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, and IT. This leader has full P&L accountability, drives long‑term strategy, protects the brand, and ensures operational excellence across all functions. This role carries full accountability for business performance, systems, talent, culture, and infrastructure required to drive success. The Business Leader is expected to scale the brand through deep consumer centric knowledge, translate insights into differentiated products, compelling value propositions, and effective go-to-market execution. Equally important, this leader will play a central role in galvanizing the team as one cohesive business, fostering trust, alignment, and shared purpose. This role uniquely blends brand stewardship, consumer insights, product, innovation, leadership, and general management responsibility—leading the brand through its next chapter of profitable growth while preserving authenticity, quality, and deep connection to consumers and communities.
Key Accountabilities
- Serve as the overall Business Leader with full accountability for business strategy, P&L performance, and culture.
- Develop and own the strategic plan and lead disciplined deployment through clear priorities, an execution cadence, and measurable outcomes.
- Serve as the primary allocator of capital, talent, and leadership attention across the business; make investment decisions across COGS, SG&A, and capital expenditures aligned to long-term value creation.
- Assess and elevate business performance through direct engagement with customers, partners, and associates, using active listening and fact-based inquiry.
- Own the growth agenda, ensuring strategies are grounded in a shared understanding of consumer value, long-term brand strength, and competitive advantage through e‑commerce, wholesale, retail, and emerging channels.
- Define and evolve product and technology portfolio, including new product development, ensuring alignment with customer value and manufacturing scalability.
- Set clear expectations for how consumer and market understanding informs business-level decisions, including portfolio strategy, pricing architecture, and go-to-market direction; ensure alignment across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain on growth priorities and consumer outcomes.
- Hold leadership team accountable for translating growth priorities and consumer value into measurable revenue, margin, profitability, and cash performance; balance near-term commitments with longer-term, high-risk/high-reward innovation opportunities.
- Own associate engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness (partnering with HR); build and coach an inclusive team, ensure strong succession, and be visibly present (“gemba leadership”).
- Lead execution and continuous improvement (KPIs, problem solving, kaizen, strategy deployment) driving operational excellence across the functions.
- Represent the brand externally and across the entreprise
- As a member of the Leadership Team, provide business and functional expertise to shape, drive, and execute the overall OpCo strategy and operational plan, working to ensure that the division delivers on its short and long-term commitments to the Enterprise.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years leadership experience in Omni -channel consumer goods, outdoor, apparel, business.
- Demonstrated success leading complex organizations with full P&L responsibility.
- Commercial, financial, and strategic acumen across product, supply chain, sales, and marketing.
- Experience driving growth and margin expansion across omnichannel brands.
- Experience direct leadership of Sales, Marketing, R&D (product), Ops, and Supply Chain.
- Experience with matrixed leadership of HR, Legal, Finance and IT.
- Ability to influence and align leaders of leaders across functions and geographies.
- Proven success in active listening, influencing without authority, and leading through change.
- Experience managing brand portfolios and consumer insights driven decision making/growth.
- Experience building external partnerships and managing complex commercial relationships.
- Experience scaling brands while preserving authenticity and quality.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%. (Maryland and Germany)
