Product Manager

Reporting directly to the VP of Product & Marketing, the Product Manager will directly impact the company’s growth and success in the arboriculture and custom rope markets managing our two marquee brands and will have the opportunity to lead innovative product and business initiatives in industries critical to safety and well-being.

 

You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our products and be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept to market launch and beyond with a focus on data analytics, product data management, strategic vision, and financial targets while working in a dynamic, global company collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet market needs and company revenue and profitability targets.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Strategic Vision:

  • Develop and communicate a clear and compelling vision and strategic product road map.
  • Define and drive the strategy for each brand within these categories, aligning with the company's overall goals.

Product Management

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including ideation, development, launch, and post-launch analysis.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Define product requirements and specifications based on market insights and analytics.

Data Analytics

  • Utilize data analytics tools and methodologies to gather, analyze, and interpret internal and external data related to product performance, market trends, and customer behavior.
  • Translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies for product improvements and expansion.

Product Data Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information, including pricing, specifications, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and integrity across all channels.

Revenue and Profit Targets

  • Work directly with finance and sales stakeholders to set and monitor revenue and profit targets for each brand.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed these targets.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful product development, launch, and ongoing management.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams to align efforts with product and brand strategies to ensure accountability and successful, holistic product launches.

Market Expansion  

  • Identify opportunities for market expansion, including new product development, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Assess the feasibility and ROI of expansion initiatives and present recommendations to the leadership team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in high cost of failure markets or related industries.
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in data analytics tools.
  • Experience with product data management systems.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and profit targets.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and vision-setting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience in a global organization.

 

LOCATION

  • This role is remote with a preference for candidates who can relocate or travel to Biddeford, Maine on a regular basis.
